Ysabella Berja is a former undergraduate laboratory assistant that was a member of the laboratory from September 2022 - January 2025.

She graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdepartmental Studies (Health Sciences) with a minor in Lifestyle Medicine from the University of Iowa.

While in the laboratory, Ysabella was responsible for general lab cleaning, inventory management, human donor tissue collection, dissection, cryosectioning, histological staining, and ImageJ analysis.
